S.P.A.C.E. Camps

Summer Programs in Air, Carpentry, & Electric 

Funded by a CTE grant from the Oregon Department of Education

High School Overview

  • Construction projects- high schoolers get a chance to build a wall.

  • Get a bit of everything- high schoolers get the chance to do construction, electrical, and sheet metal work, and apply it to their main project.

  • Speaker Series- learn about the many job positions in the construction, electrical, and sheet metal industry.

  • Get free tools and gear- students get a chance to learn how to use their tools and get to take them home.

  • Construction job site tour- students get a chance to tour a real construction site at either Perlo Construction, P&C Construction or a PPS School Modernization construction site.

  • Apprenticeship tours- there are more ways to getting a job than college. High schoolers get a chance to learn about the different apprenticeships and expand their opportunity to a career.
